The Combat ‘95 clothing system (commonly referred to as Soldier ’95) is the current pattern of uniform issued to British forces. Soldier ’95 clothing has to satisfy stringent UK military requirements covering infra-red reflection, thermal signature and flame resistance. The system is based upon the layer principle and is designed to provide soldiers and military personnel with exactly the right degree of protection for any operational environment and incorporates leading technological developments from modern extreme sports and expedition wear.
